Climbs are not as challenging. Some days are tougher than others of course, and some are only "severely undulating" as opposed to mountainous. However you will still enjoy a Pyrenees cycling challenge with amazing mountain scenery and glorious sweeping descents. Bicycle Rental We strongly encourage you to bring your own bike - you will have a bike you know and are comfortable riding for the duration of the journey. Flying with a bike case, box or bag, checked in as special luggage is now very common and safe. And….we offer to take charge of your bike bag or box at the start of the tour and have it conveniently returned to you at the finish. If you don’t have your own bike box many local bike shops now provide very reasonably priced rental options. A question we get asked more and more! How far an Electric-assist bike will get you depends on the level of assist, type of terrain you're riding, and your weight. E-bikes have opened up a world of cycling to a wider audience. However not all types of E-bikes are suitable for all our tours. Given the daily distance and climbing on our AVID tours, E-bikes are ordinarily not suitable. However, if you have ridden for many years on a regular road bike and now simply seek a little extra assistance on some of the tougher climbs, then we won’t discourage. The type of E-bike suitable would be an Electric Road Bike with dropped handlebars such as the one in this picture. By contrast, Electric Hybrid Bikes are often heavy with weighty frames and batteries. They don’t usually fit well in our vans or on our bike racks either! read more read less

Cycle Andalucia in Southern Spain Fully Supported Cycle Tour of Andalucia From Seville to Valencia in 8 Days Suitable for the 'Avid' Rider. Our 'Ride London to Barcelona' cycle tour is an exhilarating and challenging adventure spanning southern England, four regions of western France, the Pyrenees mountains and the Spanish region of Catalonia. Our journey starts on southern England’s green country roads from London to Portsmouth. The ferry journey across the channel to France is a delightful experience. On the French side, you’ll cycle through beautiful river valleys and villages. Ride through Normandie, the Loire river valley, marvel at the beauty of the Dordogne and admire the many chateaus.
