Ride from London to Barcelona on this 13 day road bike tour (11 cycle days)
This is a fully supported road bike tour through beautiful French river valleys and villages. Ride through Normandie, the Loire river valley, marvel at the beauty of The Dordogne; in particular the view over the River Lot at Saint Circ La Popie and admire the many chateaus. Congratulate yourself as you make the 52 kilometre climb to the Spanish border in the Pyrenees and revel in the ensuing descent through the Catalonian hills to Barcelona.
Barcelona is the largest city on the Mediterranean. It's world renowned for its gastronomy and architecture amongst many other things.
Finish your journey with a stroll and a beer or two on Las Ramblas, Barcelona's most famous thoroughfare.
This tour follows the same end to end format as our other tours and has been designed with the AVID cyclist in mind.
- Cyclists will ride from a start point in London (TBC) straight to the ferry terminal in Portsmouth where you will board with your bike.
- Luggage will be transported in the van.
- Accommodation will be varied en route and will consist of traditional French hotels and gites (not hostels) and will include breakfast.
- Lunch will be provided on 5 of the more remote cycling days.
